Wipro COO Amit Choudhary resigned, replaced by operations director Jain

India’s Wipro (WIPR.NS) said in a new filing on Friday that Chief Operating Officer Amit Choudhary has resigned and will be replaced by Sanjeev Jain as head of global operations.
This is the second mass exodus from campus in less than a week.

Choudhary is leaving the institution to pursue opportunities outside the institution and May 31 will be his last day at the institution, according to the application.

His departure comes after Anis Chenchah, Wipro’s head of Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa (APMEA), resigned last week.
Both Chenchah and Choudhary were hired by former CEO Thierry Delaporte while working at French tech giant Capgemini (CAPP. PA), opens a new tab.
Choudhary was the COO of Capgemini’s financial services division, while Chenchah was the head of the corporate division. The’s departure could pose a challenge, as CEO Srinivas Pallia said the company aims to win deals through AI meetings and will prioritize development during a conference call after the Q4 earnings quarter.

In FY2024, Wipro’s IT services revenue for the full year was 4. 4% in constant currency, marking the first decline since 2021.
Jain, who joined Wipro in April 2023, currently manages global operations, services, information security and enterprise risk management and works closely with all business units, the company said.
